Patrick Carbone is Inertia Physiotherapy's practice principal. He earned his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Queensland's prestigious Bond University after establishing a solid base in exercise science both in the sporting elite and general populous. He has also completed research with NSW Police - Tactical Operations Unit, investigating and evaluating the effect of occupational load carriage on officer marksmanship ability. The complete published research can be found in the Journal of Australian Strength and Conditioning.
Patrick has worked intricately with the AFL's Gold Coast Suns Senior and Reserves teams, assisting elite athletes with injury management, rehabilitation and onfield game day player management. Patrick is also the current acting medical coordinator for Adelaide City Football Club.
He has also worked with one of Brisbane's leading musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy private practices where he was mentored by some of Brisbane's most experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapists and worked closely with a select few of Brisbane's finest hip and knee surgeons.
Patrick has throughout developed a keen interest in hip and knee biomechanical analysis and its impact on pathology and injury. He also has a deep understanding of spinal pathology and particularly enjoys treating and rehabilitating back & neck pain.
Patrick is trained in Western Acupuncture (Dry Needling) and as well as undergoing The Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institution (APPI) Pilates training and certification. He is also undergoing his sports specilisation having completed the Australian Physiotherapy Associations level 1 & level 2 courses whilst con-currently completing his studies at La Trobe University. Patrick has also completed courses on in depth hamstring injury rehabilitation and management. Patrick is also a Clinical Educator for Flinders University Masters Students.
Patrick is confident he will be able to assess and treat your condition by developing a personally tailored physiotherapy and exercise program that will assist in getting back your health allowing you to enjoy the lifestyle you deserve.

We welcome Robert Frick to the Inertia Health Group team. Robert graduated from Flinders University with a Masters of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Health Sciences. Throughout his time at University, Robert completed a number of placements at sites such as the Port Lincoln Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Brain Injury SA and here at Inertia where he was mentored by Practice Principal Patrick & exposed to a wide range of musculoskeletal & sports conditions.
Since graduating, Robert has undertaken further training to become proficient in Dry Needling. He has also acted as the match day Physiotherapist for various sports clubs such as the Western Australian Men’s Masters field hockey side. Robert has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating peripheral musculoskeletal conditions from shoulders, elbows and wrists to hips, knees and ankles. He is also very proficient at treating all manner of spinal issues.
Robert is a friendly, highly approachable therapist; he is always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your condition and treatment. Robert is passionate about educating his clients and providing them with the knowledge and strategies to assist in helping them manage their conditions, getting them more active in achieving their desired health goals.
